Stuart Isacoff, a pianist and writer, was the founder of Piano Today magazine, that he edited for pretty much three decades. A winner with the ASCAP Deems Taylor Award for excellence in writing about music, he or she is a normal contributor about the arts to The Wall Street Journal and contains written for The Newest York Times, Chamber Music, Symphony, Musical America, Stagebill, and The Brand New Grove Dictionary of yankee Music. Mr. Isacoff can also be the author of Temperament: How Music Became a Battleground for your Great Minds of Western Civilization. He is on the faculty with the SUNY Purchase College Conservatory of Music. He lives in Closter, New Jersey.
